Purpose of Position:
The Data Center markets continue to grow as hyperscale and AI companies deploy GPU compute capacity across the region. This position should maximize sales for Corning Optical Communications in the DC segment within the EMEA market by focusing on Neoclouds, EuroHPC, Sovereign AI deployments and customer through the ecosystem. Identifying, developing and managing the key ecosystem partner companies delivering the holistic solution to the end customer will be key.
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships and work closely with the regional AI DC ecosystem to generate leads and opportunities.
- Business development within the region. Finding and winning new opportunities within the Neoclouds, EuroHPC and Sovereign AI market.
- Account management of allocated major DC accounts operating in EMEA. For other DC accounts, coordinate sales activities with the EMEA wide DC sales team as well as with the Enterprise sales team.
- Develop, document, implement and track account plans for specific DC ecosystem accounts; present progress updates to senior management on a regular basis.
- Coordinate opportunity management with the regional Enterprise Sales team in country.
- Leverage the entire DC ecosystem (e.g. end-customers, distributors, integrators, consultants) to build a network that can identify opportunities at an early stage.
- Coordinate Global account strategies with the Global DC sales team in the US.
- Maintain project pipeline and account plans in SFDC-database and provide regular forecasts.
- Establish and drive initiatives targeted at the DC market together with the other internal functions (i.e. Marketing, Market Development, Product Line Management, Supply Chain Management and Operations) to improve our total value proposition for this market segment.
Requirements:
- Technical University Degree or appropriate professional/sales experience.
- 5 or more years of sales experience preferably in the Data Centre industry (IT or Cabling industry).
- Excellent English skills; additional other language skills would be a plus.
- A proven track record of business development and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in developing new business with an international client base.
- Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- A result-driven self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Very good organization skills and structured approach.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel for business purposes as and when required.
- The position holder must be able to work effectively from a home office or any Corning office.
