Location: Dublin, Galway, Cork, or Castlebar, Ireland, Republic of Ireland Company Details: A well-established consulting firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer with at least seven years’ experience in flood risk management, hydrology, or a related field. The ideal candidate will be chartered, with strong technical expertise, project management abilities, and leadership skills to mentor junior staff. This role requires a proactive professional capable of driving project success, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to the expansion of the water resources team. Responsibilities: * Lead and oversee complex flooding and hydrology projects, including hydraulic modelling and flood risk assessments. * Develop and review technical reports, design documentation, and project proposals. * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering professional development and ensuring high-quality deliverables. * Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project approvals and ensure compliance. * Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client expectations. Requirements: * Degree qualification in Engineering or a related field. * At least seven years’ postgraduate experience in flood risk management or hydrology. * Strong knowledge of flood risk management principles and hydraulic modelling. * Proficient in project management tools, such as MS Project or Primavera P6. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic modelling software. * Experience with Cost-Benefit Analysis, Nature-Based Solutions, and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes.
