An excellent opportunity to train as a print artworker with Cornflower, a Newbury company designing and producing bespoke printed products for museums, galleries and heritage sites since 1999.
About the Employer
Cornflower designs and manufactures bespoke printed products and souvenirs for museums, galleries, gardens and heritage sites and has done so since 1999.
Design, print, laser cutting and finishing happen under one roof at our Newbury premises, with a team of around thirty.
Our customers include Kew Gardens, the Natural History Museum and the National Gallery.
We are a certified B Corporation and are ISO 14001 and FSC certified.
What You'll Do
- Prepare print ready artwork for a wide range of print and production processes, including large format digital, litho, screen print, sublimation and laser cutting.
- Set up files correctly for bleed, trim, colour space and cutter guides.
- Preflight files.
- Prepare digital proofs for approval and amend artwork after feedback.
- Coordinate with the sales and production teams on specifications and deadlines.
- Keep the artwork archive in good order with careful naming and version control.
- Training Outcome
Successful completion could lead to a permanent position in the studio as an artworker, with a L3 print technician qualification behind you.
From there the routes run towards Senior Artworker and Studio Management and the sector offers further progression to Level 4 and beyond for those who want to progress.
