- Cornerways Homes is seeking an experienced and motivated
Children’s Home Lead to join our residential childcare service.
This is a key leadership role within a small EBD children’s home, focused on delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care and achieving strong outcomes for young people.
We operate small homes with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, consistency and professional development.
As Children’s Home Lead, you will support the Registered Manager in leading the team, maintaining compliance, and driving continuous improvement.

- 40 hours per week

Responsibilities
As Children’s Home Lead, you will
- Support the leadership and day-to-day management of a residential children’s home
- Promote safeguarding and therapeutic practice
- Supervise and support staff development
- Maintain compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations & Quality Standards 2015
- Monitor quality and implement improvement plans
- Support rota management and operational systems
- Work collaboratively with Local Authorities, families and external professionals
- Contribute to a positive, reflective and child-centred culture
You will help create a structured and nurturing environment where both young people and staff can thrive.
Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (England)
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Experience
- Significant experience within residential children’s care
- Experience at senior or supervisory level
- Strong safeguarding and risk management experience
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff
- Experience contributing to care planning and placement stability
- Multi-agency working experience
- Trauma-informed and attachment-based approaches
- Safeguarding legislation and child protection
- Children’s Homes Regulations & Quality Standards
- Equality, diversity and children’s rights
