About The Role
Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for a Clinical Support Manager to join their team on a 6 month, fixed‑term contract. Whilst this is a fixed‑term role, there may be the opportunity for this role to become permanent. Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, you will work within the Quality & Compliance Team, taking the lead on clinical practice across our services. You’ll provide expert guidance, ensure high standards of care, and support teams in delivering person‑centred outcomes for residents with complex neuro‑degenerative and mental health conditions. This is a varied and rewarding role offering the opportunity to influence best practice, contribute to clinical governance, and support continuous improvement across the organisation.
Your Working Pattern
Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm. Whilst this role is based at our head office in Waterlooville, you will be required to travel to all of our services so a Full UK driver’s licence and access to own vehicle is required.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and oversee clinical practice, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and best practice standards.
- Support Managers and clinical teams to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care plans.
- Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and peer support to staff.
- Conduct clinical audits and investigations, including safeguarding concerns.
- Analyse clinical governance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to CQC readiness and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Deliver engaging training sessions and competency assessments.
- Champion the use of clinical systems such as Nourish, Camascope eMAR, Radar Healthcare, and QCS.
What You’ll Bring
Essential Experience- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration.
- Minimum 2+ years clinical experience in a relevant setting.
- Minimum 5 years experience of working clinically with residents who have additional support needs.
- Strong experience supporting individuals with neuro‑degenerative and mental health conditions.
- Excellent knowledge of:
- Safeguarding and clinical governance
- CQC standards and the Single Assessment Framework
- Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Mental Health Act 1989, including Section 117 aftercare
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Confidence with IT systems and Microsoft Office.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in a quality or compliance‑focused role.
- Knowledge of CHC, FNC, ICB and local authority funding processes.
