We're looking for an exceptional Head of Operations to lead the operational delivery of Cornerstone's bespoke network programmes. Reporting into senior leadership, you'll oversee complex, multi-million-pound operational portfolios, leading high-performing teams and trusted delivery partners to achieve ambitious business objectives. You'll combine strategic vision with operational rigour, creating the capability, culture and performance required to support the UK's ever-evolving digital infrastructure landscape.
As Head of Operations, you'll play a pivotal role in enabling the infrastructure that keeps the UK connected. You'll be responsible for translating strategic priorities into operational success, driving transformation, improving customer outcomes and ensuring Cornerstone continues to deliver at scale. Your leadership will directly influence performance, innovation, operational excellence and long-term business growth. - Define and execute Cornerstone's operational strategy, aligning delivery with business and shareholder objectives.
- Lead large-scale operational and network delivery programmes, balancing performance, risk, resources and commercial outcomes.
- Own the successful delivery of multi-million-pound portfolios, ensuring robust financial management and operational governance.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, process optimisation and data-led decision making.
- Lead and inspire matrix, multifunctional and remote teams, building a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.
- Champion transformation initiatives that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency and organisational effectiveness.
- Establish clear performance frameworks, reporting and governance to provide visibility of delivery health, opportunities and risks.
- Foster a strong culture of safety, compliance, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion.
- Develop future operational capability, ensuring the business is equipped to meet evolving customer and market demands.
Extensive experience leading complex programmes and navigating fast-paced, constantly evolving business environments. Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing significant budgets, P&L accountability and supplier performance. Demonstrated success leading organisational transformation, business change and continuous improvement initiatives. Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at Executive, Board and Shareholder level. Experience leading matrix and cross-functional teams, developing talent and creating high-performing cultures. Strong understanding of governance, operational risk management and delivery assurance.
