About Us

For almost two decades, Cornerstone's infrastructure has quietly supported the UK's mobile networks. Today, we're the UK's leading mobile and digital infrastructure provider, managing over 15,700 sites and approximately 35% of the UK market.

As we continue to evolve towards a mature TowerCo operating model, we're looking for an exceptional Head of Estate Management and Strategy to lead a critical function at the heart of our business.

Reporting to the Director of Estates & Asset Assurance, you'll provide leadership across Estate Management, Assurance, Property Risk, Supplier Management, Estate Data & Insight, and strategic change initiatives. You'll ensure our estate portfolio remains commercially optimised, effectively governed and positioned to support both today's operational demands and tomorrow's growth ambitions.

This is a highly visible leadership role, working across Cornerstone, our customers, shareholders and strategic partners to drive performance, manage risk and unlock long-term value from one of the UK's largest digital infrastructure portfolios.

Why This Role Matters

Our estate portfolio underpins the connectivity that millions of people rely on every day.

As Head of Estate Management and Strategy, you'll play a key role in protecting shareholder value, improving operational performance and shaping the future of our estate management model. From supplier performance and property risk to estate strategy, site access and portfolio optimisation, your leadership will directly influence Cornerstone's success as we continue our TowerCo journey.

What You'll Do

You'll lead the teams and delivery partners responsible for estate management, assurance and operational performance across our UK portfolio, ensuring we continue to deliver against business objectives, customer commitments and strategic priorities.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll:

  • Lead estate performance, governance, supplier management and assurance activities across the business.
  • Shape and deliver the Estates Strategy and Roadmap, driving improvements in operational efficiency, customer experience and commercial performance.
  • Champion major initiatives including Site Access Assurance, Revenue Assurance, Margin Optimisation and Estate Data programmes.
  • Strengthen portfolio intelligence, data quality and risk-based decision making to support business growth and TowerCo maturity.
  • Oversee strategic supplier relationships and outsourced delivery partners, ensuring strong commercial and operational outcomes.
  • Drive process simplification, automation and AI-enabled improvements that enhance performance and create value.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex commercial, operational, legal and regulatory matters.
  • Provide clear executive-level reporting and assurance to Leadership Teams, Boards, Shareholders and governance forums.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a strategic leader with the ability to balance operational excellence with long-term vision.

  • Significant experience leading large-scale property, infrastructure, telecoms or asset management operations.
  • A track record of delivering measurable business performance improvements, strategic change and transformation.
  • Strong expertise in governance, assurance, risk management and performance frameworks.
  • Commercially minded leadership with experience managing strategic suppliers and outsourced service models.
  • The ability to influence, challenge and collaborate with senior stakeholders, customers, shareholders and external partners.
  • Strong financial, analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear business outcomes.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams and creating cultures built on accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Confidence operating at Executive level, presenting recommendations and driving business-critical decisions.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • A relevant professional qualification such as Chartered Surveyor, Programme Management or Risk Management.
  • Experience within telecommunications, infrastructure or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of the Electronic Communications Code and Landlord & Tenant legislation.
  • Experience leading data, digital, automation or AI-enabled transformation programmes.
