About the Role
Cornerstone IT Department plans, designs, builds and operates all the IT Tools & Platforms and Interfaces required to manage the leading UK mobile infrastructure services company.
The Technical Business Analyst is an experienced IT professional capable of bridging business and technical domains. The role possesses a solid combination of requirements gathering, solution design, technical implementation, communication and stakeholder management.
As a Technical Business Analyst you will work closely with the project team. PM’s, QA, IT Ops business stakeholders, SMEs and other business analysts to understand what challenges the business are trying to resolve, enabling you to produce requirements, solutions and designs that add real business value and meet the needs of the business. It will also be your responsibility to work with third party suppliers to ensure what is delivered meets your designs and thus satisfies the business needs including functional, non-functional requirements and first-class user experience.
To carry out end to end design of Cornerstone systems change that will meet business and user experience requirements. You will proactively engage with Cornerstone stakeholders and SMEs to develop solutions that meet their requirements within the agreed scope of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Analysis and Solution Design:
- To produce design documentation to define scope and user experience and acting as the key contact to ensure that the requirements and solution meets the business needs for the relevant project.
- Produce As-Is and To-Be diagrams for projects, High Level Design specification that is the input for the internal or external development teams, supplier and operations teams
- To review third party documentation to ensure it matches the requirements of the project and its stakeholders.
- Ensure that full end to end solutions are risk assessed, scored and validated for quality, fit for purpose and alignment with Cornerstone IT strategy.To present requirements and solutions to technical governance forums and business stakeholders.
- Proactively support the business in designing new products and services so that they use core features available within the current solutions minimising the need for bespoke customization unless consciously deciding to do so.
- Ensure solutions are deliverable in timeframes committed. They should be scalable, repeatable and utilise existing standard services as much as possible.
- Producing As-Is / to-be scenarios leveraging the current systems architecture and working with the Enterprise Architect to recommend improvement solutions.
- Provide advice and guidance to the operational support teams as appropriate.
Stakeholder Management:
- Advising stakeholders on complex issues and progress on technical solution implementation plans, ensuring business impact is understood and that risks are appropriately mitigated.
- Excellent communications skills, with the ability to explain the impact of technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Providing supervision and guidance to development teams to ensure project success.
Compliance and Security:
- Working closely with the Infosec Security manager to ensure compliance to the required standards and supporting improvement initiatives and protecting the business from risks arising from data loss.
- To support and contribute actively to health and safety, environmental, business continuity and information security arrangements that meets our obligations to our customers.
Required:
- Demonstrable experience acting as the interface between business and technical teams
- Proven track record of delivering requirements and solutions across multiple supplier platforms and impacting on multiple stakeholders, in a timely fashion and with minimal post-live issues.
