The Role

You\'ll be joining our friendly and dedicated team who support an amazing gentleman with complex needs on a 2:1 basis.

The great thing about this job is that it is different every day. This gentleman has a good sense of humour and enjoys a practical joke, so if you enjoy a bit of a laugh in your day, then this might just be the job for you!

As a Support Practitioner, you\'ll assist with all aspects of daily living, including going to appointments, meal preparation, finances, housework and personal care (bathing and shaving). As the gentleman is non-verbal and has limited communication, getting to know him will take a bit of time, however, you\'ll have a supportive, dedicated team around you and once you find your feet and get to know him, we\'re sure you\'ll find the role very rewarding.

As this gentleman does have his own mobility car and really enjoys going out for a drive, we will need you to have a full UK manual driving license with a minimum of one years\' experience on the roads.

About you

Although we\'re looking for people with experience, you will receive a full induction and complete training and shadowing to ensure that you are confident in your new role. We\'ll also fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and your yearly SSSC registration fees!

  • Confidence in the use of computers

Shift Patterns

We provide tailored care 24/7, so shifts will involve working a mixture of 0800-2000 hours or 2000-0800 hours (waking night). Weekends would also be part of your rota on a rotational basis so we will need you to be flexible.
