About The Role

Are you a compassionate and reliable Housekeeping Assistant/Cleaner looking to make a genuine difference in people’s lives? Kitnocks House is looking for dedicated individuals with at least one year’s experience within a care home setting to join our award-winning team.

Our 63-bed home is made up of four specialised units, each providing high-quality, person-centred care for residents living with complex needs, including dementia, mental health conditions, or other neurological disorders. Your Working Pattern

  • Monday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday – 08:00 to 18:00
  • Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday – 08:00 to 18:00
  • 10-hour shifts, averaging 35 hours per week

What You’ll Bring

  • 6 months minimum experience in a housekeeping/cleaning position.
  • A passion for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • A friendly and proactive approach with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, their families, and your colleagues.
  • Confident communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Familiarisation with care homes (desirable).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • As a valued member of our housekeeping team, you’ll play a key role in creating a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our residents.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
  • Cleaning and caring for all communal areas and residents’ rooms – including vacuuming, polishing, and mopping.
  • Receive training on health and safety protocols, including the safe use of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Ensuring all housekeeping supplies are clean, stocked, and ready for use.

While you won’t be delivering hands-on care, your warm presence and attention to detail will help ensure our residents feel respected, comfortable, and uplifted throughout your time with them.
