Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for an experienced and passionate Receptionist to join our award-winning team at The Burren. The Burren is a brand-new purpose-built service location in South Bristol, providing high quality care and supporting residents with varying complex neurological, mental health and dementia care needs in a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person's unique strengths and challenges, rather than just the diagnosis.
What do you need?
- At least 1 year’s experience working in a similar role (essential)
- Experience in the Healthcare Sector (essential)
- Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- IT literate to include the use of Microsoft Office
- Full UK drivers licence and access to own car (essential)
What hours will you work?
Shift times: 08:00am until 18:00pm, 35 hours per week across a 3/4 shift pattern. Weekend work is required. Pay rate - £12.60ph.
What will you be doing?
- Answer all telephone calls that come through to Reception
- Meet and greet all visitors maintaining a helpful and professional approach and maintaining a welcoming area
- Handle deliveries and inform the relevant person
- Create and amend staff rotas as well as booking and cancelling agency staff as requested
- Complete orders such as uniform, stationary, Amazon and anything else requested by the General Manager and other departments
- Take samples to the local surgery and pharmacy if and when required as well as collecting medication
- Manage the signing in book daily, ensuring all visitors sign in and out
- Update the internal HR/ clocking in system
- Raise purchase orders and file accordingly
- Manage the staff lunch ordering book and spreadsheet
- Communicate with the team via People Planner messages, email, letters and through memos when required

About The Company
Cornerstone Healthcare provide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs. Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them inappropriate candidates for dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly. We currently have 3 services based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, Bristol and Mytchett.
