The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Working as part of our Continuous Improvement and Learning Team and in close collaboration with the people we support, their families and representatives, external health professionals, operational colleagues and our Training Academy, you will play a key role in promoting and implementing person centred Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
As a PBS Coach Practitioner, you will:
- Work collaboratively with individuals, families, their representatives, colleagues and other health professionals to develop and implement person centred support and PBS plans.
- Coach and mentor colleagues to use evidence based positive approaches in everyday practice.
- Use data and reflective practice to inform ongoing continual improvement and support.
- Champion our commitment to equality, inclusion, dignity and respect in all aspects of care and support.
- Focus on understanding and meeting the unique needs of each individual, supporting teams to develop practical, compassionate approaches that enhance quality of life without unnecessary restrictions.
- Use coaching and reflective practice to help colleagues deepen their understanding of behavioural support and restrictive practices, the reasons behind it and how we can best support individuals to achieve the best possible outcomes.

What we need you to bring:
- A recognised qualification in Positive Behaviour Support and in health and social care with a minimum of 2 years direct support experience in learning disabilities, autism, neurodiversity, safeguarding and rights-based practices.
- Strong knowledge of the health and social care standards and legislation.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing and evaluating PBS strategies based on individual needs.
- A strong understanding of person-centred approaches and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills with the ability to engage, motivate and empower teams.
- A commitment to promoting positive outcomes and improving quality of life for the people we support.
- Confidence in delivering training and facilitating reflective practice sessions.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A proactive, solution focussed mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and use data to monitor progress, evaluate outcomes and inform practice improvements.
- Flexibility to travel across Scotland as required.
- A full driving license and access to your own vehicle.
Location: This role can be based in any of our offices across Scotland (Elgin, Peterhead, Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow, Airdrie, Irvine, Dumbarton or Galashiels) or part of our hybrid working model where you would work a minimum of 2 days in the office, so we will need you to live within a reasonable commute of one of these locations. There will be occasions that we will need you to travel to other Cornerstone branch locations (travel expenses will be reimbursed as set out in Cornerstone's expense policy with travel reimbursed by HMRC legislation).
