We're now on the lookout for new colleagues to join our relief pool in Portlethen. Our relief contracts really give you flexibility; you tell us when you're available and we'll look to give you shifts to fit. Our relief colleagues play an incredibly important role within our teams. As a relief colleague, you will step in to make sure that we still provide excellent care and support during times of annual leave, training or sickness.
Role and responsibilities
Our team and the individuals you’ll support Angus Court is a busy housing support service, as a Support Practitioner no two days are ever the same; you’ll be part of a fun, friendly team who supports seven individuals all with different support needs. Your main aim will be supporting the individuals with their day to day needs which include shopping, finances, cooking, appointments, personal care and housework. We’re looking for you to be enthusiastic and creative about participating in and supporting them with their hobbies and interests which include socialising, bowling, arts & crafts, soaps and going to discos.
About you
You don’t need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferable skills and will give you all the paid training you’ll need if you’re successful. We’ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too! Please note that if you don’t live in the Portlethen area and are a non-driver, we will need you to be mindful of the limited transport links that would fit with our shift patterns and be confident that you can travel to our service.

Shift patterns
As we’re dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual and include weekends and public holidays. At present, our typical shift patterns usually fall in between the hours of 0800-2200 hours and will include weekends, public holidays and sleepovers on a rotational basis. Our sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours, so you’ll receive an additional sleepover payment of £107.60 per night for each sleepover worked!
