As a Process Operator on the H100 Fife Production & Storage (P&S) site, you will oversee day-to-day operation of the plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable hydrogen supply to our customers. The role is primarily based in the on-site Control Room, with requirements to carry out routine checks and first-line maintenance of the plant and equipment on site.
Day-to-day Activities
- Operate and oversee the day-to-day running of the plant to ensure all manufacturing performance metrics are delivered and maintain continuity of supply to our customers.
- Ensure that all legislative and regulatory requirements are met (SHE, DSEAR, COSHH, etc).
- Prepare plant and equipment for maintenance purposes, including safe isolation and reinstatement of plant (SIRP), creation of permit packs, and control of contractors.
- Continually contribute to the optimisation of the production processes.
- Strictly follow documented standard operating procedures.
- Play an integral part of the emergency response plan, be actively involved in the commissioning of the P&S site, and participate in the review and improvement of site standard documentation such as procedures, work instructions and records.
Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Process Operator (or equivalent) in a high-risk manufacturing plant such as Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, etc.
- Exceptional health and safety ethos with a minimum of IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
- Highly competent working in control rooms with automated systems/SCADA.
- On-site experience undertaking first line maintenance activities for process plant and equipment.
- Extensive control of work experience, including permit to work, plant preparation, safe isolation & reinstatement of plant, etc.
- Previous emergency response training.
- A strong process/technical mindset.
- Commute distance to Methil.
- A full and valid driving licence.
- Highly computer literate.
- Comfortable working a flexible shift pattern to provide cover as required.
Preferred
- Previous Hydrogen (or other gas) experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of the gas network/industry.
- Commissioning experience.
- Contractor supervision.
- Production planning and scheduling knowledge.
