We're now on the lookout for our 2026 future stars! #TeamNLCumbernauld are looking for respectful, patient and understanding individuals with great attention to detail to join their team as Support Practitioners on a permanent part-time basis. This role will be covering the Cumbernauld area of North Lanarkshire where you'll be supporting young people in community settings and older people in their own homes.
The Role and the people you will support
As a Support Practitioner, you'll provide support in all aspects of daily living, including meal preparation, attending appointments, going shopping, maintaining their home, personal care and administering medication. With a focus on building and maintaining independence, you'll take an active part in helping support a daily routine to help pursue their hobbies. The people we support enjoy a busy social life and love getting involved in their community going swimming, bowling and out to the cinema. They also attend art therapy and exercise classes with a keen interest in video gaming!
About You
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even put you through your SVQ qualification too!
To be a great Support Practitioner, you will:

Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing tailored support, shifts vary from 5 to 8 hours typically starting from 9am 7 days a week and include weekends and public holidays.
