Join our Corporate Finance and Financial Modelling team and play a key role in shaping the insights that drive SGN’s long‑term strategic decisions. As a Corporate Finance and Modelling Analyst, you’ll work with our Strategic Model to deliver high‑quality analysis, support major planning cycles and contribute to the financial understanding that underpins our future direction. This is an opportunity to develop advanced modelling skills, collaborate with teams across the business and influence decisions at senior levels - all while helping SGN plan for a resilient, efficient and sustainable energy future.

How you will contribute:

  • Running scenario analysis in the SGN Strategic Model and presenting insights to stakeholders
  • Maintaining and developing the Strategic Model, including new financial model builds
  • Supporting Treasury, Corporate Finance and FP&A to ensure consistent assumptions and outputs
  • Providing clear analysis to inform long‑term planning and regulatory submissions
  • Ensuring high‑quality data, governance and accuracy across all modelling activity
  • Managing multiple requests and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail

What you will need:

  • A numerate degree (Finance, Maths, Engineering) and understanding of finance principles
  • Strong Excel skills and grounding in best‑practice modelling, with a desire to develop advanced capability
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a corporate finance or modelling environment
  • Ability to explain complex financial concepts to non‑finance colleagues and senior leaders
  • Strong organisational skills to manage varied stakeholder demands
  • Confidence to sense‑check outputs and work within established governance processes
