Join us as a Lean Central Practice Team Member, where you'll take part in continuing to build a culture of operational excellence at SGN. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of our Lean Central Practice, working together with the Lean Lead and Lean Managers to deliver Lean initiatives and supporting regional teams to make meaningful change. We deliver safety, warmth, and comfort to homes and businesses. Every role, whether in the office or on the front line, plays a key part in this mission.
Here’s how you will contribute…
- Support regions with continuous improvement projects, co-owning individual initiatives (supporting areas and teams to ‘help themselves’ in the development of pilots and trials, measuring and reviewing results and implementing permanent solutions, confirming success, rolling out region‑specific initiatives network-wide across all regions).
- Develop own knowledge and skills to Green belt level (minimum).
- Support Operational teams with the ongoing development of Lean skills and understanding and use of tools (Process and value stream mapping, root cause analysis, PDCA and DMAIC etc.).
- Provide support to Lean Lead and LCP colleagues with the development of Lean comms activities, the coordination and collation of Lean Initiative documentation (Initiative Trackers and Benefits Tracker), maintenance and updating of the Lean Central.
- Provide additional support to the Lean Lead.
What you will need:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence.
- Knowledge of MS Suite of tools (Excel, Power Apps, etc.).
- Some knowledge of process improvement methodology would be an advantage either through recent contact with Lean programme or other.
- Passionate and enthusiastic about process and performance improvement.
