We are looking for a new female colleague to join the amazing TeamLoudoun in Irvine on a permanent part‑time basis (30 hours per week).
The Role
- Provide comprehensive support to two wheelchair‑using ladies, assisting with all aspects of daily living including meal planning, cooking, housework, appointment support, medication administration, personal care, and assistance with mobility and hoist use.
- Support the ladies in a variety of activities such as music, discos, theatres, cinema, shopping and holidays.
- The role requires a full UK manual driving licence with at least one year of experience, as the ladies rely on their mobility cars for outings.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities: meal planning, cooking, housework, appointments, medication administration, personal care.
- Move and assist wheelchair users, including use of hoists.
- Join the ladies on leisure activities (music, discos, theatre, cinema, shopping, holidays).
- Drive mobility cars safely using a valid UK manual licence (minimum 1 year driving experience).
- Provide around‑clock support according to shift patterns.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent communication skills.
- Caring and compassionate attitude.
- Positive attitude towards learning.
- Confidence in the use of computers.
- Full UK manual driving licence (minimum 1 year experience).
- Commitment to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
- Committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with support from our Training Academy.
- Registration with the Social Services Specialised Corps (SSSC) within 3 months of starting employment.
Shift Patterns
Shifts run either 08:30‑21:00 or 12:00‑21:00, seven days a week. The role may include sleepovers and weekends on a rotational basis. Sleepover time is not counted within contracted hours and will receive additional payment.
