About The Role

Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for a passionate Care Assistant to join our award‑winning team at South Africa Lodge. South Africa Lodge is a 99‑bed service providing high quality care across six specialised units supporting residents with varying complex care and providing a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person and their unique challenges, rather than just the diagnosis. We are currently rated Overall Good with CQC.

  • Previous experience working in Care
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families

What hours will you work?

Working for us gives you more time for you with a 7 out of 14 day working pattern.

  • Week A - 3 days: 19.45 to 07.45
  • Week B - 4 days: 19.45 to 07.45
  • Total average of 38.5 hours worked per week, including every other weekend.

  • Support all aspects of daily living including personal care, mealtimes and social activities
  • Promote independence, choice and dignity in every interaction
  • Observe and report on changes in residents’ health and well‑being
  • Collaborate with your team to ensure exceptional, people‑centred care
  • Communicate openly and respectfully with colleagues, residents and their loved ones
  • Always promoting choice, dignity and privacy

About The Company

Cornerstone Healthcare provide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs. Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them inappropriate candidates for dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly. We currently have four services based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, Mytchett, and Bristol.
