An opportunity to join our team as a GDPR Compliance Manager where your expertise will make a highly visible difference to our business. You’ll become the driving force behind fostering a robust culture of GDPR compliance within Cornerstone. Your proven track record of building and implementing successful GDPR programs together with your project management and compliance experience will ensure your success in this contract role.
You’ll own the creation and execution of our GDPR compliance program from start to finish and be responsible for ensuring our company adheres to all Data Protection laws, collaborating with key stakeholders across the organisation to cultivate best practices in information sharing.
Responsibilities Include:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive GDPR compliance program aligned with our new Compliance Framework. Take ownership of the entire program lifecycle, from planning and implementation to ongoing monitoring and improvement
• Serve as the go-to resource for all GDPR compliance matters, providing expert advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders. Stay up to date on the latest regulatory changes and communicate them effectively throughout the business
• Implement robust controls to ensure all information sharing activities comply with both Competition Law and Data Protection Law. Investigate and report on any data breaches, taking proactive steps to mitigate future risks
• Develop and deliver engaging training programs and supporting materials for internal and external stakeholders on GDPR requirements. Promote a culture of data privacy awareness and responsibility
• Efficiently and accurately process all Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) received by Cornerstone
• Work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation to build consensus and drive successful implementation of data protection and competition law compliance programs. Cultivate strong relationships with shareholder compliance teams and external partners
• Support the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Counsel in developing and enhancing Cornerstone\’s overall compliance framework, including new training initiatives, policies, and procedures. Contribute to regulatory compliance efforts related to health and safety, environmental matters, business continuity, and information security
• Create and deliver regular reports to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Counsel on GDPR compliance, data breaches, and other key metrics. Contribute to OKR reporting and provide insights to support data-driven decision-making
• Work with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Counsel to streamline and automate compliance services, seeking opportunities for efficiency and cost savings
Ideally, You’ll Have:
• Experience in a similar Governance and Compliance role, with a demonstrable track record of creating and implementing compliance programs. Experience developing and embedding a GDPR compliance framework is essential
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion
• A solid understanding of GDPR, Data Protection laws, and Competition Law
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
