The Role

Here at Cornerstone, the support that we provide is centred around assisting individuals to identify and work towards their goals. We work with the individuals to develop personal plans that reflect their choices, individual support needs and capabilities. You’ll support individuals to manage their own homes, increase and maintain their independence, and encourage and support them with personal care and their social, health and wellbeing needs. The people we support all have different hobbies and interests too, so we’ll need you to bring creativity and enthusiasm into supporting them to access leisure activities, engage in meaningful activities and take part in hobbies and interests that are important to them, both within their home and out in their local communities. Being a Support Practitioner is more than just a job; there’s no better feeling going home after every shift knowing that you’ve made a positive difference in someone’s life.

About You

You don’t need experience in care or qualifications to start your career with us. We are more interested in who you are as a person. • The ability to apply good administrative and numeracy skills to ensure that clear, accurate records are evidenced and kept up to date
  • An understanding of the importance of keeping to routines and guidelines

Shift Patterns

We’re dedicated to providing the best 24/7 support, so shift patterns will involve early mornings, days and evenings. Weekends, public holidays and sleepovers will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis. The sleep part of a sleepover shift isn’t included within your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional payment for £107.60 per sleepover worked.
