About the Role
This is a Design Governance role which requires industry expert knowledge of mobile infrastructure within design and engineering. Design Governance responsibilities include:
- Each Design Governance role will be allocated to a specific customer or Customers. You will be a key enabler, responsible for managing and negotiating Design guidance and process changes.
- You will be required to identify and engage with all impacted internal and external Stakeholders ensuring business continuity.
- Design Governance are responsible for managing Customer design changes, ensuring they are interpreted correctly, assessing the impact to Cornerstone, ensuring alignment with Customer and Cornerstone commercial and strategic expectations.
- You will be expected to manage and own Cornerstones, Customer, Colleagues and Design Partners relationships, ensuring effective communication of key updates to key Stakeholders, whilst promoting desired behaviours.
- Efficient, high-quality right-first-time outcomes will be a key driver in everything you do.
- You will be expected to work with the Design team in parallel with the wider business, such as: Engineering, Design Delivery, Program Lead keeping them informed of change, problems and solutions, as well as influence the performance of a team of Design Delivery Managers.
- Additionally, you are expected to Identify, maintain and enhance national design guidance, processes and documentation, as well as create project-specific design guidelines as required by the business, to deliver successful projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the identification, creation and maintenance of national and project specific design guidance as required by the Business.
- Provide innovative ideas and support the implementation of initiatives to enable the business to work smarter, such as automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Be accountable for assessing Customer design guidance and communicating to relevant internal and external Stakeholders.
- Gauge and translate any commercial impact of new initiatives to the business.
- Be responsible for responding to Concessions and Design Queries within SLA.
- Responsible for contributing to the organisation's digital transformation initiatives related to design.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging technology and champion the adoption of digital tools to enhance processes.
- Analyse design delivery and quality data and key performance indicators to identify areas of opportunity.
- Collaborate and influence cross-functional teams, such as; delivery, operations, vendor management, to ensure commercial and strategic alignment.
- Input into the RMSV process, with focus on quality and efficient RMSV meetings and outcomes.
- Execute / adapt established design delivery processes to achieve enhance and support design partners and design delivery managers.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Industry expert within telecommunications.
- Understanding and appreciation of process and other departments across telecoms Design & Engineering.
- HND or higher qualification in any one of the following: M&E Engineering, Electronic, Civil, Telecommunications, Product development or similar.
