Are you a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant looking to make a genuine difference in people’s lives? Kitnocks House is looking for dedicated individuals with at least one year’s experience within a care home setting to join our exceptional team. Our 63-bed home is made up of four specialised units, each providing high-quality, person-centred care for residents living with complex needs, including dementia, mental health conditions, or other neurological disorders. It’s a vibrant and rewarding place to work, where every day brings the opportunity to make someone’s life that little bit brighter.
Note: Due to the specific needs of our female residents who require same-sex personal care, this position is open to female applicants only under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1 (Occupational Requirement).
What You’ll Bring
- At least 1 year’s experience working in a care home supporting residents with dementia, mental health, elderly or complex care needs within the UK
- A genuine passion for helping others and promoting dignity and independence
- Emotional resilience and a steady head in challenging situations
- Good communication skills (both written & verbal)
- A positive team-focused attitude
- A caring, reliable, and positive attitude
- Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development
- NVQ Level 2 or working towards it (desirable)
Your Working Pattern
Day shift: 07:30 – 20:00 Average: 40.25 hours per week Alternate weekends.

- Support all aspects of daily living including personal care, mealtimes, and social activities
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity in every interaction

- Collaborate with your team to ensure exceptional, person-centred care
- Communicate openly and respectfully with colleagues, residents, and their loved ones
