We're unlocking access to the NHS, because healthcare is not truly free until it's truly accessible. The world’s best healthcare, for free. It's not a new idea, it's called the NHS. But the largest healthcare provider is fundamentally broken. Patient satisfaction is at an all-time low, and the biggest reason cited is lack of access. So we’re on a mission to fix it with technology that actually works. We're building the front door of UK healthcare, creating a future where one billion NHS appointments are transparent and instantly bookable, and patients are guided to the right service first time using AI. We're developing critical national infrastructure. Today, 26% of GP practices in England use our patient registration software, while one in five GP practices in London use Bookable Search to help new patients find and book appointments seamlessly. Our latest product, Bookable Navigator, extends this vision by automatically booking appointments for existing patients.

Our Principles: Exciting challenges lie ahead. Guided by our principles, we’ll meet these challenges with a thoughtful and caring approach. These principles drive everything we do at Healthtech-1:

  • Care deeply
  • Work hard
  • Be your word
  • Trust in radical truth and transparency
  • Do your life's best work
  • Find the fun

Mission statement: We have an ambitious mission: to unlock access to healthcare by making every appointment in the NHS bookable. To reach national scale, we need to have the most efficient and effective executive operations. Your job is to make Raj (CEO) and the entire leadership team more effective by managing executive operations, coordinating across teams, and identifying process improvements that drive organisational efficiency. We invest heavily in development, care deeply about our people, and will support you when needed. BUT you must be comfortable with pressure and prepared to work 60+ hours a week.

Goal expectations: The goal is to make Raj and the leadership team more effective, and act as a force multiplier for the company. Success looks like:

  • Company priorities are well understood across teams (teams are charging in the right direction)
  • Raj's calendar actually matches company priorities (not just what's urgent)
  • Nothing gets lost - all actions are tracked and commitments delivered across the company
  • Meetings happen smoothly - right people, right prep, actions, owners and deadlines
  • Raj and the leadership team never chase you for updates
  • Zero typos, broken links, or half-done work

Your 30 / 60 / 90 day plan:

  • By day 30: Get the engine running. Output: Raj's operation is visibly smoother. You will have mastered calendar and inbox, shadowed Raj in all meetings, established your quality standards, run logistics for major meetings, and built your action tracking system.
  • By day 60: Make hard things easy. Output: Raj trusts you completely with executive operations. You will have conducted process audits, developed communication protocols, automated the calendar, maintained an inbox at zero daily, ensured excellent meeting prep, and tracked actions to completion.
  • By day 90: Set the standard. Output: You're indispensable to how Raj and the leadership team operates. You will have ensured zero dropped balls, built a weekly exec dashboard, produced ad hoc reports, led implementation of process improvements, maintained consistent meeting quality, optimised Raj's calendar, and created templates and systems for recurring work.

Scope of the role: You fully own:

  • Operations analysis - monitor company processes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend operational improvements
  • Executive reporting - support the preparation of reports on company metrics, team progress, and KPIs
  • Calendar management - protect time, align to priorities, optimise for effectiveness
  • Inbox triage - respond when appropriate, flag urgent, eliminate noise
  • Cross-functional coordination - schedule and coordinate meetings between Raj and department representatives
  • Task management - action tracking, chase completion, flag blockers
  • Quality control - proofread everything
  • Budget control - oversee operational budget for various initiatives
  • Admin execution - expenses, travel, documentation, whatever needs doing
  • Protect Raj's daily fuel - ensure he has space for exercise and family

Opportunities for progression: This is one of the fastest growing health tech startups in the UK. As Raj and the company grows, so will this role too, with the opportunity to be the right hand person to the CEO.

About you: 2-4 years in executive operations, mission-driven, high-energy, obsessive about quality, exceptional prioritisation, proactive communicator, calm under pressure, and trustworthy judgment.

Nice to have: Experience supporting C-suite in high-growth startups and building systems that made teams more effective.

A bit about us: We’re all NHS staff, trusted with one of the biggest datasets in the world. Our office is within a GP practice. We highly prioritise in-person communication and prefer candidates who want to work 4+ days a week in the office. Homemade breakfast and lunch are on the house every day when you're in the office.

Inclusive & Diverse by Design: We care about building a product that is loved and a culture that is rich in perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. We want everyone in our team to know that they belong.
