Steel Detailer

A contractor specialising in Structural Steel & Architectural Metalwork in Kent is seeking an experienced Tekla Draughtsman to join their team.

Important Information:

• Work Hours: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 depending on experience
• Remote Work: No working from home

Key Responsibilities

• Design Detailing: Create detailed drawings and specifications for architectural metalwork using Tekla software.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the design manager and other team members to ensure project requirements are met.
• Site Visits: Conduct occasional site visits to gather information and ensure design accuracy.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards in design output, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel regarding project details and requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience in detailing Structural Steel & Architectural Metalwork, specifically using Tekla software.
• Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with industry standards and regulations relevant to steel detailing.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Tekla and related design tools; ability to produce accurate and detailed drawings.
• Team Player: Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical abilities and a proactive approach to resolving design issues.
