We are seeking an experienced Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to take a lead commercial role across residential construction projects. This is a permanent position offering responsibility over high-value MEP packages and involvement in commercial decision-making from early stages through to final account.
Location: Central London
Salary: £80,000 to £100,000 per annum
Hours: 8:00 - 17:00 / 8:00 - 16:00
Project Value: MEP packages up to £17 million
Start: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the commercial management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing packages on residential projects
- Preparing and overseeing project budgets, cost plans, and procurement strategies for M&E works
- Taking ownership of cost reporting, forecasting, and commercial risk management
- Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and contract administration
- Reviewing and approving subcontractor applications, variations, and final accounts
- Liaising closely with site teams to monitor progress, productivity, and cost performance
- Providing commercial guidance and support to project and site management teams
- Managing change control processes and ensuring all commercial impacts are captured accurately
- Supporting the commercial close-out of projects and agreeing final accounts
- Contributing to best practice, cost control procedures, and commercial improvements across projects
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level within M&E or building services
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works on residential projects
- Confident managing high-value packages and taking commercial ownership of projects
- Strong negotiation, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
