We are seeking an experienced Façade Designer to join our Hampshire office on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves office-based work alongside regular site visits to manage surveys, drawings, and quality assurance across multiple projects.
Location: Hampshire (with site visits 3-4 days per week)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, monitor, and revise assigned façade drawings using relevant company specifications
- Conduct site surveys, capturing measurements and photographs to produce accurate drawings
- Liaise with Estimating, Commercial, Site Management, and other internal teams to track design and quality issues
- Coordinate with manufacturers, external structural engineers, and architects as required
- Respond to technical queries and make recommendations to resolve design or site problems
- Assist with site inspections to ensure works meet technical quality standards and specifications
- Ensure information is available for site set-up from project commencement to completion
- Support the Design & Quality Manager in training and advising site management and subcontractors
- Monitor KPIs for site management and subcontractors
- Attend site and project meetings as needed
- Maintain and pass updated subcontractor information to procurement and ordering teams
- Collate documentation for compliance with relevant standards for client and funder handovers
Requirements:
- Engineering or architecture-related studies or equivalent industry experience
- Façade design experience including EWI, cladding, and rainscreen systems
- Basic CSCS card
- Competent AutoCAD user (3D AutoCAD essential; SketchUp or Revit optional)
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project Probe
- Strong communication, organisation, and coordination skills
