An established structural steel company in North Yorkshire is currently seeking an Estimator to join their team.
Important Details:
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per year +profit share and company shares
Reporting to: Contracts Director
Duties :
- Prepare accurate estimates for structural steelwork and sub-contract works.
- Assess material, labour, and equipment requirements.
- Analyse quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure profitability.
- Input data into Estimating Software with precision.
- Coordinate with technical services and other departments.
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and quantity surveyors.
- Organise and administrate tender enquiries and documentation.
- Collect and distribute project feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications Required:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the Construction Industry.
- Strong maths and IT skills, including problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Additional Information:
- The role may require occasional travel to meet potential clients within the UK.
