A contractor specialising in steelwork design is seeking an experienced Tekla Draughtsperson to join their team in Bedfordshire, near Cambridge area.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Start Date: ASAP

Work Arrangement: Full-time and On-Site (40 hours per week, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Modeling and Drawing: Be confident to model and draw balconies, balustrades, stairs, railings, gates, and other architectural metalwork.
  • Compliance: Ensure designs are compliant with client requirements and regulations.
  • Attention to Detail: Exhibit excellent attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to finalize designs.
  • Feedback Implementation: Revise designs as needed based on feedback and project developments.
  • Document Control: Support and appreciate the importance of document control.
  • Client Interaction: Discuss directly with clients, architects, and engineers to develop designs on your own initiative.
  • Fixing Methods: Understand and correctly apply fixing methods such as bolts, screws, welds, and hinges.

  • Meeting Participation: Confident in attending and running team and design meetings.
