We are seeking an experienced Principal Senior Electrical Engineer for a design role to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. Hybrid working is available, though office attendance will be required for principal engineers.
Location: Merseyside or Greater Manchester
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience and level
Working Arrangement: 36 hours per week, 4 or 5-day working week flexible
Start: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems, including circuitry and schematics, from RIBA Stage 2 onwards
- Produce and review drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Ensure designs comply with regulations, standards, and codes
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- Drive internal processes and continuous improvements
- Attend site surveys and meetings as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 10-15 years' experience in an electrical design role
- Proficient in Dialux, Electrical OM, Revit, AutoCAD, and Amtech
- Strong understanding of electrical regulations, standards, and codes
- Experience in mentoring or managing junior engineers
- Ability to work on-site when required and collaborate effectively in an office environment
