We are seeking an experienced CAD Facade Technician to join a structural and civil engineering consultancy on a full-time, permanent basis. The role involves working closely with internal design teams and external consultants to deliver high-quality façade and building envelope drawings across a range of projects. A hybrid working arrangement is available, combining office-based and remote working.

Working Arrangement: Hybrid (office and remote) 2 days hybrid, Monday and Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality 2D detail drawings for façade and building envelope systems including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing systems, and related interfaces.
- Prepare and coordinate general arrangement drawings, detailed sections, elevations, and construction details.
- Support the production of shop drawings, fabrication drawings, installation drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Develop 3D models to support fabrication drawings and schedules.
- Coordinate drawings with structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
- Ensure all drawings comply with UK building regulations, British Standards, and project specifications.
- Manage drawing revisions, document control processes, and issue registers.
- Support projects through design development, tender, and construction stages.
- Attend coordination meetings as required, either in person or virtually.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of 2-4 years as a CAD Technician within the facades industry.
- Working knowledge of rainscreen systems, window and door systems, and curtain walling.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with Revit and BIM environments is highly advantageous.
- Good understanding of façade systems, components, and their functions.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with a proactive, cooperative approach.
