Prayer & Community Outreach Assistant

Hours: Part-time, 20 to 24 hours per week

About the role
CBN Europe is looking for a compassionate, organised and faith-filled Prayer & Community Outreach Assistant to support our Prayer Centre and Community Outreach ministry. This role forms part of a small team of staff and volunteers who offer prayer, encouragement and practical support to partners, callers and people in the local community.
You will help respond to prayer-line calls, partner enquiries and digital prayer requests, while also supporting community outreach activities in public spaces. The role combines pastoral sensitivity, strong communication, administrative accuracy and a willingness to represent CBN and the Christian faith with warmth, integrity and professionalism.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and respond to prayer-line calls with compassion, discretion and appropriate safeguarding awareness.
- Offer prayer, encouragement and spiritual support while maintaining clear boundaries.
- Respond to prayer requests received through approved digital and telephone channels.
- Use Salesforce CRM to update partner records, process enquiries and support accurate administration.
- Assist with local community outreach activities, including planning, set-up, engagement and follow-up.
- Represent CBN and the Christian faith in public settings with warmth, respect and professionalism.
- Follow safeguarding, GDPR, confidentiality and escalation procedures at all times.
About you
We are looking for someone who is a committed Christian with a personal faith in Jesus Christ and a heart for prayer, people and outreach. You will be a calm and confident communicator, able to listen without judgement, respond sensitively and work well as part of a small team. You will also be comfortable using digital systems, handling confidential information and travelling to agreed outreach locations when required.
Essential requirements
- A committed Christian who aligns with CBN Europe’s statement of faith.
- A compassionate, prayerful and empathetic approach to people.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence using email, Microsoft 365, databases and basic digital systems.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work across office, home and community settings.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel to agreed outreach locations when needed.
Desirable experience
- Experience in prayer ministry, pastoral care, evangelism or community work.
- Experience supporting vulnerable people.
- Safeguarding training.
- Experience using CRM or case-management systems.
- A current DBS check or registration with the update service.
