About The Role

Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for experienced and passionate Nurse (RGN/RMN) to join our award-winning team at The Burren. The Burren is a brand-new purpose-built service location South Bristol, providing high quality care & supporting residents with varying complex neurological, mental health & dementia care needs provided in a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person's unique strengths and challenges, rather than just the diagnosis. What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 2 years experience working as a Registered Nurse within the UK with a valid NMC pin (RGN desirable)
- Experience working with adults that present with complex needs including challenging behaviours and mental health needs and brain injury.
- Strong clinical skills
- Ability to work alone as well as a team and be able to form positive relationships with colleagues, residents and families
- A caring and empathetic approach to residents and their visitors
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
Your Working Pattern
- Day shifts 7.45am - 20.15pm
- Night Shifts 19.45pm - 8.15am
- Average of 40.25 hours per week. Whilst we accept preference you will be required to work a mixture of days and nights.
- Weekend work involved.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Organise and delegate workload to ensure effective delivery of resident’s care is carried out by appropriate skilled members of staff
- Assessing, planning and evaluating care needs or the provision of care
- Oversee care provided by Health Care Assistants & Senior Health Care Assistants on shift
- Participate in clinical meetings as required and report areas of concerns to managers
- Ensure that relevant documentation is maintained in a comprehensive manner
- Respect the confidentiality, dignity and privacy of residents and staff at all times
