Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for experienced and passionate Housekeeping Assistant/Cleaner to join our award‑winning team at The Burren. The Burren is a brand‑new purpose‑built service location in South Bristol, providing high quality care and supporting residents with varying complex neurological, mental health, and dementia care needs in a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualized care, considering each person’s unique strengths and challenges, rather than just the diagnosis.

What You’ll Bring

  • 12 months experience in a similar role (essential)
  • Previous experience in a care home environment (desirable)
  • A passion for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • A friendly and proactive approach with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, their families, and your colleagues
  • Confident communication skills – both written and verbal

Working Pattern

Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm. You’ll be scheduled to work 4 days out of 7, which will include weekend shifts as part of a regular rota. 32 hours per week.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • As a valued member of our housekeeping team, you’ll play a key role in creating a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our residents.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
  • Cleaning and caring for all communal areas and residents’ rooms – including vacuuming, polishing, and mopping.
  • Receiving training on health and safety protocols, including the safe use of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Ensuring all housekeeping supplies are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
  • While you won’t be delivering hands‑on care, your warm presence and attention to detail will help ensure our residents feel respected, comfortable, and uplifted throughout your time with them.
