About The Role

Cornerstone Healthcare is seeking a passionate Healthcare Assistant to join our award-winning team at Kitnocks House. We provide care to 63 residents across four specialised units, supporting those with complex needs. Our person-centred approach focuses on each individual’s unique challenges, not just their diagnosis. We are proud to be rated GOOD by the CQC.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in care (essential)
  • Experience working with adults with complex needs, including challenging behaviours and mental health needs (desirable)
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues, residents, and families
  • A caring and empathetic approach to residents and visitors
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)

Working hours

  • Day shifts: 07:30 to 20:00
  • Night shift: 19:30 to 08:00

Your responsibilities

As part of our care team, you’ll help residents feel valued, comfortable, and as independent as possible.

  • Supporting personal care routines with kindness and respect
  • Encouraging participation in social activities and hobbies
  • Assisting at mealtimes and ensuring dietary needs are met
  • Noticing and reporting changes in wellbeing or behaviour
  • Promoting choice, dignity, and privacy

Additional notes

All bank employees must attend a 5-day paid induction before starting. The induction runs Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 16:30. Please consider this if you are working full-time elsewhere, as attendance is mandatory.
