The Opportunity

This is a highly visible and strategic Construction Procurement position supporting the continued expansion of the company's European logistics infrastructure. The successful candidate will lead procurement, sourcing, and tendering activities for warehouse construction, refurbishment, fit-out, and engineering projects. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the delivery of large-scale warehouse development and logistics infrastructure projects across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for warehouse construction, refurbishment, fit-out, and engineering projects across the UK and Europe.
  • Lead end-to-end tendering activities, including supplier sourcing, RFP/RFQ preparation, bid evaluation, commercial negotiations, contract award, and supplier onboarding.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with general contractors, MEP contractors, engineering suppliers, consultants, and construction material vendors.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts, driving cost optimization, value engineering, risk management, and procurement compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage supplier performance and establish long-term strategic partnerships to support the company's expanding logistics infrastructure.
  • Monitor construction market trends, contractor capabilities, material pricing, and supplier capacity to support procurement planning and sourcing decisions.

Ideal Background

  • Strong experience in Construction Procurement and Engineering Procurement for construction projects.
  • Experience supporting warehouse, logistics, industrial, manufacturing, or commercial construction projects.
  • Hands-on experience managing tendering processes, including RFP/RFQ, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK and/or European construction supply market, with an established network of contractors, engineering suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Experience working within large-scale logistics, industrial, construction, real estate, or infrastructure organizations.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with multiple stakeholders.
