Company Overview: Our client is a rapidly growing skincare and cosmetics company, publicly traded on the US market, with global revenues of approximately $1 billion USD. They are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to manage one of their premium British skincare brand portfolios across the UK and US markets.

Position Overview: The HR Generalist will oversee and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. This role involves managing the daily functions of the HR department, including hiring, interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of staff. Conduct new employee orientations and facilitate onboarding processes.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, fostering a positive work environment. Address employee relations issues and conduct investigations as necessary.
  • Performance Management: Implement and monitor performance appraisal systems. Provide guidance to managers on employee performance and development plans.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with UK and US employment laws and regulations. Maintain employee records and manage HR policies and procedures.
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee compensation and benefits programs. Assist employees with benefits enrollment and address inquiries related to benefits.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for employees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably within the skincare or cosmetics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and US employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SHRM-CP or CIPD certification is a plus.
