Known for its innovation and digital-first approach, the company is expanding its operations in the EU region. They are seeking a strategic and hands-on HR Director to build and lead the HR function for their new London team, working closely with the CEO to establish a high-performing team and drive organizational growth in this key market. Position Overview : As the first HR leader in the London office, the HR Director will play a critical role in setting up and scaling HR operations to support the company’s growth in the EU region. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is ideal for an experienced, entrepreneurial HR professional with a proven track record in building and managing HR functions from the ground up. The HR Director will focus on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational culture, providing strategic and operational HR leadership to meet the needs of a dynamic and expanding team. Key Responsibilities : Talent Acquisition and Onboarding : Develop and lead recruitment strategies to attract top talent in digital media, ensuring a smooth onboarding process that aligns new hires with the company’s mission and values. HR Strategy and Planning : Design and implement HR strategies, policies, and processes tailored to the needs of a growing team; provide strategic HR insights to the CEO to support company goals. Employee Engagement and Culture : Create and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that supports high performance, collaboration, and innovation. Performance Management : Establish performance evaluation processes to drive employee growth and align individual objectives with the company’s business goals. Compensation and Benefits : Develop competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent, working closely with global HR teams to maintain consistency. Legal Compliance : Ensure all HR policies and practices comply with UK employment laws and regulations, adapting global policies as needed. Leadership Development and Succession Planning : Identify and nurture emerging leaders, providing development opportunities to support the company’s future growth and succession needs. HR Operations : Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, payroll coordination, and HR administration, as well as data reporting and analysis for senior leadership. Qualifications : Experience : 8+ years in HR management, ideally in a digital media, technology, or high-growth environment, with experience setting up HR functions for new teams or locations. Proven Track Record : Demonstrated success in talent acquisition, culture-building, and HR strategy, especially in fast-paced or entrepreneurial settings. UK Employment Law Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance in all HR practices. Strategic and Hands-On : Ability to work both strategically and operationally, with a proactive approach to developing HR initiatives that support rapid growth. Communication and Interpersonal Skills : Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and work effectively with all levels of the organization. Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze HR metrics and provide insights that support decision-making and organizational development.
