About the Company:

To support its continued expansion in Europe, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager (GM) for the UK market, based in London.

Role Overview:

The General Manager (UK) will be responsible for leading, managing, and growing the company’s operations in the UK. This role involves overseeing sales, distribution, business development, and operational performance while ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The GM will report directly to the Managing Director, Europe, and will play a key role in driving profitability, operational excellence, and market expansion in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company’s growth strategy for the UK market in alignment with European and global objectives.
  • Sales & Business Development: Drive vehicle sales, distribution partnerships, and key account management to maximize market penetration.
  • Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of UK operations, including logistics, supply chain, customer service, and aftersales support.
  • Financial Performance: Manage P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Market Analysis & Expansion: Identify market trends, competitive landscape, and new business opportunities to support sustainable growth.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK automotive regulations, environmental policies, and corporate governance standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with OEMs, suppliers, dealers, and internal global teams.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in automotive distribution, sales, or operations management.
  • Proven track record in senior leadership roles within the vehicle distribution or automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK automotive market, including regulatory frameworks and industry trends.
  • Experience managing P&L, budgets, and financial performance in a complex business environment.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to drive growth, operational efficiency, and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a results-driven mindset.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Automotive Management, or a related field preferred.
