Are you an active, compassionate individual with a genuine passion for supporting others?
We are seeking a Personal Assistant to provide high-quality support to a young adult with autism and epilepsy, both at home and within the community.
You will join a small, dedicated team working on a 2:1 support basis, helping to promote independence and wellbeing in daily life and recreational activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support with daily routines
- Administer and support with medication needs
- Heat up meals
- Help maintain a clean and safe home environment
- Support community-based activities such as rollerblading, cycling, walking and sailing alongside the twice weekly use of a gym-based exercise bike.
- Weekly support in an activity incorporating can-crushing & shredding.
- Spending quality time in a private heated pool and reflexology sessions as well as twice weekly access to a sensory room.
Qualifications
- Experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities is preferred, however full training and shadowing will be provided.
- A proactive, friendly team player with a reliable approach to care.
- Driving Licence preferable
- PVG will be required for successful applicants
