Are you an experienced male support worker who's on the lookout for a brand new and rewarding job? Look no further as we have a great opportunity for you! Our amazing team are on the lookout for a new Complex Care Practitioner to join them on a full-time basis.
You'll become part of a friendly, welcoming team who provide complex care and support to individuals who are all on the Autism spectrum. There's never a dull moment at New Deer; no two days are ever the same and you'll always be kept on your toes!
In addition to working directly with individuals with complex care needs, you'll also work in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team and the individual's families and guardians to ensure each individual has a robust and outcome-focused support plan. You'll support individuals to manage their own homes, increase and maintain their independence, and encourage and support them with their social, health, and wellbeing needs.
The people we support all have different hobbies and interests too, so we’ll need you to bring creativity and enthusiasm into supporting them to access leisure activities, engage in meaningful activities, and take part in hobbies and interests that are important to them, both within their home and out in their local communities.
About You
Due to the care needs within our service, we're looking for people who bring experience of providing care and support within the Health & Social Care sector with the ability to lone work and have confidence to manage behaviours that can challenge. We will also need you to bring a commitment to studying for and achieving an SVQ (SCQF level 7) and completing training and further qualifications which are identified as essential for our service. We will fund and support you with any training.
