You will join a team supporting a young woman who lives in her family home. She is an outgoing, active individual with a busy schedule, attending a variety of activities and community events throughout the week - no two days are ever the same. Due to the needs of this service, we will need you to have a full UK manual drivers licence with 1 years experience on the roads. The person is a wheelchair user and uses a hoist for transfers. Applicants should be comfortable and confident assisting with hoist transfers, with training provided.

As we're dedicated to providing the best support possible, shift patterns currently fall Monday to Friday, typically between 7:30am and 7:30pm, although hours may vary depending on the activities and plans of the person we support. 24/7 support is provided during respite periods therefore sleepovers and weekends will be part of the rota during these times, however advance notice of this will be given allowing you to balance your work and personal life.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
Please note: If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
