We are currently partnered with a leading Venture Capital firm investing in high-growth technology companies, particularly across AI, cybersecurity, and enterprise software. With a track record of backing market-defining businesses in Europe and the US, the firm provides strategic capital, deep sector expertise, and hands-on support to exceptional entrepreneurs. As part of their continued growth, Cornell has been retained to find a VP to join their investment team in London, leading sourcing, execution, and portfolio support for early and growth-stage investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Sourcing & Execution: Identify, assess, and execute venture investments. Lead due diligence processes, including market research, competitive analysis, and financial modeling. Develop investment theses and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Portfolio Support & Board Engagement: Work closely with founders and management teams to drive growth and expansion. Act as a Board Observer for portfolio companies, providing strategic insights and operational support. Leverage industry networks to assist portfolio companies in scaling internationally.
- Market Development & Thought Leadership: Drive deal flow and ecosystem engagement. Stay ahead of market trends, identifying disruptive innovations and opportunities. Actively participate in industry events, panels, and investor communities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in venture capital or growth equity, with a strong track record of investing in and supporting early-stage and growth-stage companies.
- Expertise in AI or cybersecurity is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with deal execution, financial modelling, and due diligence.
- Highly networked within the technology and founder ecosystem in the UK and Europe.
