Investment Associate – Growth Equity (Tech and Software)
Cornell are currently working with a leading growth equity firm that specializes in investing in high-growth software and technology companies. The firm provides capital and strategic support to help businesses scale, drive operational excellence, and expand into new markets.
The Role:
We are seeking an Investment Associate to join this ambitious and high-performing team. The role offers exposure to all aspects of the investment process, from deal sourcing and due diligence to execution and portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have a strong transactions background and a passion for technology investing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate high-potential software and technology businesses.
- Conduct financial modelling, valuation analysis, market research, and competitive benchmarking.
- Support transaction structuring, negotiation, and closing in collaboration with senior team members.
- Work closely with management teams to optimise growth strategies, go-to-market execution, and operational improvements.
- Monitor trends in the software and SaaS ecosystem to inform investment decisions.
Who You Are:
- 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, top-tier strategy consulting, private equity, or growth equity.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and data-driven decision-making.
- Understanding of software business models, recurring revenue dynamics, and key SaaS metrics.
- Ability to think strategically, assess business potential, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with founders, management teams, and industry stakeholders.
