The Product team plans, builds and maintains industry-leading programmes. We build training content that changes lives. The content we build is engaging, interactive, and cutting-edge, using modern training tools and creative approaches to content development. The content we build supports Operations, Marketing, Sales and Compliance and is fundamental to the success of the business as a whole.

The role: We are looking for an outstanding individual to take responsibility for the development and management of a portfolio of our market-leading training programmes, throughout their lifecycles. You will manage our products’ progress from concept through launch to delivery and continuous improvement, covering both the technical aspects of programme creation and the ongoing experience of our learners. The successful candidate will manage a dynamic team of curriculum experts, Data-Driven Professional, Data-Driven Leader, Data Analyst, and AI Fundamentals programmes as well as leading the development of our new AI Productivity programme. You will have an excellent understanding of digital apprenticeships and experience of interrogating the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the apprenticeship standards at a granular level. Adopting a collaborative approach, you will develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to manage the entire life cycles of our products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the entire product life cycles for a number of products, in the first instance, taking responsibility for Data-Driven Professional, Data-Driven Leader, Data Analyst, and AI Fundamentals programmes, as well as leading the development of our new AI Productivity programme.
  • Drive the success of a commercially attractive, regulatory compliant and well aligned programme offer.
  • Plan and manage new programme builds and improvements to existing programmes to meet quality, budget and timeline requirements.
  • Understand market intelligence, product scans and competitor analysis to determine product developments and innovations.
  • Analyse user research and learner feedback to identify requirements for our products.
  • Ensure our curricula deliver all apprenticeship KSBs as well as stretch content that drives our commercial offer.
  • Ensure all programme documentation is up to date.
  • Review and feedback to Directors of Curriculum (DOCs) on content created for a number of our programmes.
  • Support programme builds by creating content at the granular level when required.
  • Work closely with our learning content support team to make our content fully interactive and cutting edge.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand the ongoing needs of learners and employers and implement our programmes accordingly.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver the smoothest possible learner journey throughout the programme.
  • Line manage Directors of Curriculum (DOCs), who are each responsible for a programme’s curriculum and learning content.
  • Support DOCs with their interactions with internal and external stakeholders, e.g. awarding bodies and sales.
  • Recruit, induct and train new DOCs and Content Creators to build and continuously improve programmes effectively.
  • Spread best practice across the department.
  • Ensure organisation-wide solutions/policies are implemented across our programme offer.
  • Deliver high quality programmes on time, complete administrative processes, and deliver positive behaviours and communication.

Experience and Skills:

Essential:

  • Industry experience in a data-oriented technical role, such as data analyst, data engineer, data scientist, or a similar position involving data management, analysis, or engineering.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the structure of apprenticeships including Standards, assessment plans, assessment methods, KSBs and EPA.
  • Experience of interrogating KSBs at the granular level.
  • Knowledge and understanding of level 3 and level 4 data apprenticeships.
  • Experience of line managing a team for the delivery of projects to quality, time and budget.
  • Experience of creating learning content for a digital training programme.
  • Experience of delivering a digital training programme.

Desirable:

  • A teaching/coaching qualification.
  • Experience in product management.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of AI.
  • Experience of creating/delivering level 3 and level 4 data apprenticeships.
  • Experience of having successfully taken a cohort of learners through EPA.
  • Experience of creating an entire digital training programme.
  • Experience of delivering a digital apprenticeship.
