The Learning and Development Business Partner at Corndel is responsible for evolving the employee development offer to support the growth and development of our people to meet current and future skills and capability needs, through meaningful learning experiences and support tools. A clear focus for the role will be the development and implementation of Corndel’s internal AI skilling strategy, ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge and tools to effectively adopt AI technologies and build our overall organisational AI skills and capabilities.
This newly created role reports to the HR Director and offers the opportunity to shape the employee development value proposition. The Learning and Development Business Partner will work collaboratively with our skilled functional enablement and L&D teams to develop a holistic learning and development strategy for the business. Together it is the blend of functional and cross business initiatives that will support us to develop, share, scale and be successful in developing the skills and capabilities needed now and in the future.

Key Responsibilities- To develop and enhance our learning and development approach as part of the overall employee offer, supporting the business to grow, develop and retain our talented people and build business winning skills and capabilities.
- Mobilise and collaborate with teams across the business to engage with learning initiatives, share resources, building momentum, ownership, and impact with our learning activities.
- Create and embed a learning community, building a culture of shared learning, curiosity, and professional growth.
- To lead on our AI Skilling Strategy - AI Skilling and internal adoption of AI tools and principles is a key enabler to the growth and evolution of the business.
- Development and implementation of a prioritised AI skilling plan.
- Driving adoption levels of AI tools through skilling in line with Corndel’s AI strategy.
- Curate internal (e.g., Corndel AI Fundamentals) and external (e.g., Microsoft) training resources to support AI skilling strategy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to establish feedback loops to ensure AI skilling is delivering impact and is adjusted to meet business needs.
- Partner with business functions to share and create impactful learning materials and development approaches that support organisational priorities.
- Curate and coordinate impactful communications to celebrate, elevate and build understanding of our learning and development activities and resources.
- Own the management and coordination of Corndel’s LMS, supporting adoption and utilisation of the tool across the business.
- Coordinate end-to-end delivery of centrally managed internal development initiatives, including onboarding, leadership development, and internal apprenticeship processes.
- Track and report on learning engagement and outcomes, using data and insights to drive improvements and decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements with stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience leading and coordinating L&D initiatives across a business, with evidence of mobilising and influencing a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to design and implement skilling, upskilling, and reskilling strategies.
- Experience of facilitating and building L&D communities and an effective development offer, building culture as well as capability.
- Previous success in owning and leading projects and initiatives, from insight through to impact.
- Experience in coordinating learning solutions in low-resource environments, being resourceful and utilising expertise and capability from within.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and building as we go.
- Strong knowledge of AI concepts, tools, and applications (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, automation tools).
- Familiarity with AI ethics and governance in a corporate setting.
- Ability to assess and report on the effectiveness of skilling initiatives through metrics, case studies, qualitative feedback and creating compelling communication to bring this to life.
- Experience implementing and/or administering an LMS (or similar digital learning platform).
