The New Client Acquisition Team targets companies in the private, public and charity sectors, building strategic partnerships with large organisations to develop their employees in line with talent and digital strategies.
The role
The Client Manager is a target-carrying individual contributor responsible for acquiring new clients and driving early-stage Year 1 growth across smaller T1000 organisations.
The role focuses on disciplined outreach, high-quality early engagement, clear qualification, and the creation of strong top-of-funnel opportunities that convert into new programme starts and early cross‑sell.
This role builds the foundation for progression into Senior Client Manager.
Responsibilities include
- Strategic New Client Acquisition
- Prioritise and target appropriate T1000 accounts using guided outreach plans.
- Build early-stage stakeholder maps across HR, L&D, Digital, Data, AI, Technology and Transformation functions.
- Lead discovery conversations that establish need, fit and urgency.
- Navigate initial multi‑stakeholder dynamics with confidence, escalating complexity when appropriate.
- Use marketing assets, events and success stories to strengthen credibility.
- Articulate Corndel’s value proposition clearly and map it to customer needs.
- Maintain a disciplined cadence of self‑generated outreach and engagement.
- Strategic Selling & Commercial Skills
- Apply Sandler methodology at a progressing level across discovery, qualification and early‑stage selling.
- Use questioning, insight and early data points to shape buyer thinking.
- Apply AI tools, research and market intelligence to improve preparation and prioritisation.
- Identify cross‑sell opportunities independently or via performance conversations.
- Partner with internal experts to shape accurate and aligned proposals.
- Draft high‑quality proposals and pitch content using Corndel templates.
- Demonstrate responsible commercial judgement within playbook parameters.

- Ensure all contracting, documentation and operational processes are completed accurately.
- Maintain high‑quality Hub Spot hygiene across Companies, Contacts and Deals.
- Apply stage‑based forecasting logic with clear written rationale.
- Build and update stakeholder Org Charts for T1000 opportunities.
- Lead clear, structured handovers to Account Management covering goals, risks and growth potential.
- Follow the Client Tier Playbook for prioritisation and qualification.
- Build capability with enterprise tools such as Sales Navigator, 6Sense and Copilot.
- Collaboration & team working
