We are currently looking for Traffic Management Operative/Chargehand to undertake Traffic Management on Cormac's Surfacing and Civil Engineering sites. This is a great opportunity for you to develop a career within Cormac. We are looking for enthusiastic, positive minded individuals to be responsible for setting up traffic management to Sector Scheme 12D and marshal traffic and pedestrians through and around site once works are being carried out.
The individuals will be the first people members of the public will meet on works sites, therefore the candidates need to be polite, courteous, positive and well mannered.
Some duties will include:
- Undertaking a range of tasks requiring some specific practical skills.
- Ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues and the public.
- Responsible for utilising the appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Reporting safety incidents including near misses.
- Ensuring that good environmental practices are observed.
About you
We are looking for you to bring:
- This position can be physically demanding and candidates should possess resilience particularly with regard to adverse weather conditions.
- Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to achieve CSCS Registration or equivalent in a related area.
- Proven ability to supervise staff delivering a wide range of manual tasks.
- Health and Safety knowledge/qualifications.
- Traffic Management knowledge.
Candidates must have the following:
- Minimum qualification of M1 / M2.
- Minimum 12 months experience within Traffic Management.
- Full clean driving licence.
