Corker Binning is a leading boutique law firm, based in Central London, with specialist expertise in high-profile, complex and sensitive crime and regulatory investigations. The firm acts for a range of companies, professional firms and private individuals, both in the UK and abroad. The partners, all leaders in their fields, are supported by a dedicated team of Associates and support staff.

The nature of the role is to provide Accountancy support services to the firm. This role involves liaising with Partners, PAs, and the Legal Cashier at the firm as well as an external accountancy firm. Corker Binning are looking for a knowledgeable, self-starter and dependable professional to join the team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial reports for the firm’s Partners
  • Preparing the firm’s VAT returns
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and SRA Accounts Rules
  • Liaising with external accountants on audits
  • Overseeing client billing rules including VAT application
  • Supervising accounts postings
  • Improving financial processes
  • Management of the firm's legal cashier

Location: The role is part-time (four days a week) and based in the office, allowing for up to 40% working from home after an initial induction period.

Required:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and the SRA’s Accounts Rules
  • Professional accountancy certification
  • Proficiency using Xero and Partner for Windows (P4W)
