Led by one of Italy’s most celebrated chefs Francesco Mazzei, Mezzogiorno showcases soulful, authentic southern Italian cooking in one of London’s most iconic five‑star hotels. This spectacular restaurant brings the warmth and generosity of southern Italy to the heart of Westminster. Inspired by the Baroque palazzos of the South, with soaring ceilings, elegant design, and a menu inspired by Francesco’s Calabrian roots, Mezzogiorno is a soulful space, celebrating the true spirit of Italian dining: bold flavours, seasonal produce, and a passion for bringing people together around the table.
As a Sommelier at Mezzogiorno by Francesco Mazzei, you will be the ambassador of our wine and beverage program, responsible for curating exceptional guest experiences through expert wine service, knowledge, and personalised recommendations. Your role will be essential in enhancing our dining offering, guiding guests through our wine list with finesse and confidence, and supporting the team in delivering luxury service in line with Mezzogiorno’s identity.
You will collaborate closely with the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams to ensure pairings are seamless, wine service is precise, and product knowledge is consistently shared. You will also play an active role in maintaining and developing the wine cellar, managing stock, and training the wider team on wine and beverage knowledge.
We expect you to embody our core values of Heart, Head, and Hands—being supportive, connected, refined, caring, genuine, positive, focused, creative, and entrepreneurial in everything you do.
